HAPPY LABOR DAY! For most of us, this is the last chance to take a day off as the summer ends. I know many of you will enjoy one last outing with your families, enjoy a cookout, or take one last trip to the mountains. And whatever you do, I hope you will take a moment to remember the contributions and achievements of American workers. Whether in a factory, on a farm, in an office, or as with more and more of our workforce, from their homes, our Country has achieved things that no other has because of the hard work, innovation, and enterprise of American workers.
As I campaign this Fall, one of the themes will be making Colorado’s economy stronger and creating jobs in businesses both and large and small. One key to prosperity is ensuring that working people can keep more of what they earn. During my time in the Colorado State House, I fought to keep Colorado’s climate for business and job creation one of the best in the country. Unfortunately, we have seen our State’s ranking as a business friendly, job creating location slip in recent years due to wrongheaded policies that grow government, increase taxes and regulation, and discourage innovation and hard work. As your State Senator, I will continue, as I did in the State House, to say No to new taxes, fees, and regulations that rob you of your hard earned dollars to support your family.
Join me today in honoring America’s working men and women and their contributions to our Nation’s freedom and prosperity. HAPPY LABOR DAY!
